Digital Infrared Thermal Imaging
- Thermography
Highlights and Data
1) The OmniBody Scan is designed to be used as an adjunctive test with mammography, ultrasound or clinical examination for the early detection of breast cancer and other anomalities.
2) Thermography, first approved by the FDA in 1985, is a non-invasive touchless
procedure offered to women of any age to help determine current breast
health.
3) The patient, after being prepped in a cool room to normalize body temperature, simply sits in a chair facing the camera for a few minutes.
4) The infrared images are uploaded to a central database where a licensed
and trained thermographer reads them.
5) Test results are available to the patient's physician within 72 hours for
interpretation.
6)Infrared imaging provides physiological data. Mammography, ultrasound or
MRI provide anatomical data.
7) Anatomical data requires that the anomaly be sufficiently developed to be
physically detectable. Therefore, it is not a beneficial method in those
cases where considerable breast mass is typical, such as in younger women.
8) Considerable clinical studies have been conducted over the past 30 years
that suggest that infrared imaging, when used along with other detection
modalities such as mammography, can detect breast cancer up to 10 years earlier
than mammography without infrared imaging.
- Lasotronic® Power Laser™
- Low Level Photobiostimulation Laser
Laser therapy stimulates the natural healing power in the cells of the body. Light energy starts the process of photobiostimulation, whereby the photons of light initiate a series of chemical reactions at the cellular level. These reactions increase the metabolic rate of the cell, in turn accelerating the process of natural cell repair.
